Obituary of Clyde Williams
Clyde L. (Chuck) Williams was born to Oscar and Sylena Williams on November 20, 1929 in Dallas, Texas. His parents preceded him in death. Clyde united with St. Paul AME Church at an early age. He attended Kindergarten at St. Paul AME Church, Phyllis Wheatley Elementary, and Lincoln High School where he was very active as a Football and Tennis Player and many other activities.
He received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and pledged Omega Psi Phi Fraternity at Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
After serving his country with distinction and upon receiving honorable discharges, he started working for the United States Postal services and worked on his Master's degree at Bishop College extension in Dallas, Texas as he prepared to marry the love of his life, Miss Ada Lee Gipson on June 8, 1957. Chuck worked faithfully for the US Postal Service where he retired after 35 years and later retired from DISD as a Security Officer after 10 years of service.
Chuck was a person many think of as a quiet man, but he was a magnificent man. One who no one ever left without learning something new or given a new way to think about any given subject, ranging from politics, sports, history, etc. This man had a wealth of knowledge that he loved to share.
He left to cherish his life: A loving devoted, dedicated wife of 56 years, Ada L. Williams; Son, Adrian D. Williams of Dallas, TX: Sister, Erma Baylor (Orlando) of Washington DC; Three Lovely Granddaughters Crystal, Aire'ale, and Amber of Dallas; nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.
