                                                                     THE LIFE AND LEGACY

Andrew Craig Calhoun, 33 years old, of Dallas, Texas, passed away unexpectantly on February 2, 2026. He joined church at the age of five and immediately started serving. He was a member of the Choir, Junior Deacon, The Cross Step-Team, Sunday School and BTU, Brotherhood, Bible School, Ushers, and Soldier in the Passion Play.  He loved his church and would travel every summer with his Pastor, Rev. Tyler Carter, Sis. Barbara Haskins, Sis. Cora Walker, Sis Babara Ely and Sis Mae Purifoy.

Born on February 26, 1992, in Dallas, Texas, he was the beloved son of Tim Calhoun and Monald Calhoun Feggett.  He attended R. L. Thornton and John Neely Bryan Elementary School, where he had a passion for doing science projects and winning Science Fairs each year at the school from Kinder to Fifth Grade. He entered the JNB School Contest based on talents and won the contest being crowned, “Mr. John Neely Bryan”, while attending O.W. Holmes Middle he played football and in Carter High School, he played Football, where the Calhoun boys wore the #84 and he was an avid Golfer.  He received awards for his sports both in Football and golf. His love for the sports started from a very young age with peewee football with the Desoto Jaguars and continued with the Boys and Girls Club Oak Cliff football teams the “Steelers.” His love for golf began in the fifth grade at JNB and carried on through Carter High School.  After high school he ventured on to Oklahoma in the Job Corp, where he learned carpentry, automotive repairs, and these skills lead him to work in various professions, where he was known for his dedication, humor, love for others and work ethics.

He married his childhood sweetheart Ashley Dennis Calhoun on December 30, 2020, of which there were no children, but their beloved girl, Saddie Calhoun.  This German Sheppard was the love of both of their lives. But she was loved and spoiled by her daddy.

Andrew lived life to the fullest in his own quiet way. He had a passion for fishing, playing his games, music, teaching and working with children.  This was a gift from God at an early age. He was always surrounded with babies and young children and was always the first to make sure everyone was taken care of at whatever cost, lending a hand and bringing people together. His friends and family will always remember him for his infectious laugh, kind heart, and unwavering loyalty.
